The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 23585, which establishes that a student who loses a parent or guardian responsible for financing their education is entitled to a scholarship until graduation, provided they can demonstrate a lack of resources to cover the cost of their studies. The applicant must be a student at the University, and the loss of the financially responsible family member must occur while the student is enrolled at our institution.
*For students in the Biomedical Engineering program under the PUCP-UPCH joint curriculum, the program will only cover the credits for which they are enrolled at PUCP. Credits for courses at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia will be billed as usual, according to the fee schedule assigned to the student.

Term and Renewal
This scholarship program lasts for one (1) academic year, consisting of two (2) regular academic terms.
At the end of this period, the student must go through a scholarship renewal process, which includes an academic and socioeconomic evaluation.
Calendar
This program does not have a set schedule; therefore, students may request information and documentation from the Office of Student Affairs to begin the scholarship evaluation process, which will verify that they lack the financial resources to cover the cost of their studies.
