Painting, as a discipline, has continually innovated concepts and forms of expression in the modern era and within modern art theory. Its interaction with new technologies and media of expression has secured it a prominent place within the visual arts, where color, line, perspective, and plastic form are fundamental elements of visual art.
Based on these principles, painters who have graduated from the PUCP School of Art present a vision of the world and its sociocultural context through a personal artistic language that has been developed through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary educational program within the School.
You will begin your studies with general education courses in which you will develop knowledge in various fields. During the first four semesters of the Specialization track, you will delve deeper into the elements of visual syntax and continue to explore your personal artistic language and vision. The final four semesters of the Mentored Advanced Study and Final Project Workshop will guide you as you explore, research, define, and refine your artistic path.
