The Pontifical Catholic University of Peru awards scholarships to its students (*) who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and fall within the required income bracket.

Note: The method of disbursement and the amount of the grants are determined by the Board of Directors of Scholarships and Educational Credit.

Requirements

• Belong to Tier 1 (students admitted through 2016) or Levels 1 and 2 (students admitted starting in 2017) of the University’s Differentiated Pension System*.
• Be among the top 10 percent of the class based on the university's Standardized Academic Performance Coefficient (CRAest)**.
• Have earned at least 18 college credits.

* Socioeconomic information must correspond to the regular cycle preceding the call for applications. If the applicant has a provisional pay grade in the cycle of the call for applications or was reclassified to a higher pay grade than those specified for cycles following the call for applications, their application will be subject to evaluation; this information is verified with the University’s Office of Social Support and Promotion.

** The Scholarship Committee will be responsible for awarding the scholarships; among other criteria, academic performance and available openings will be taken into account.

Term and Renewal

The duration of the program (number of funding cycles) will be determined by the Scholarship Committee and specified in the Scholarship Acceptance Letter.

At the end of each academic year, recipients must undergo a scholarship renewal process, for which they must maintain the required academic performance (be ranked in the top 10 percent of their college according to the University’s Standardized Academic Performance Coefficient (CRAest)), maintain the specified grade levels, and be enrolled in regular academic terms, among other requirements determined by the Scholarship Commission.

Job Openings

The scholarship program offers a total of ninety (90) scholarships. The number of scholarships awarded per application round varies depending on the number of available spots.

The Scholarship Committee will be responsible for filling the available spots at its discretion following the respective evaluations.
