Social Responsibility

University Social Responsibility (USR) offers a different and promising way of doing things within the university and from within it. It proposes transforming the various processes and aspects of university life through a management approach focused on a reciprocal, sustainable, and effective relationship between the university and its social and natural environment.

In this way, the University not only enriches its processes of generating, transmitting, and applying knowledge and skills, but also strengthens its active and indispensable role in promoting sustainable human development.

This management approach is a commitment to ensuring that all stakeholders involved in or affected by university activities—both internal and external—work together synergistically and benefit from the process.

A university that is managed in a socially responsible manner is constantly evolving and contributes to social change. The unit responsible for designing, promoting, and implementing University Social Responsibility (USR) initiatives at the university is the Academic Directorate for Social Responsibility (DARS).
