Since Peru is a country rich in mineral resources, its mining industry plays a vital role in the national economy. At PUCP, you will gain a solid foundation of technical and scientific knowledge, as well as an ethical and social education committed to the environment, ecology, and society. You will learn the science and art of extracting metallic and nonmetallic resources from the Earth’s crust.

You will also gain hands-on experience in mine design and operation, allowing you to gain firsthand knowledge of mineral exploration and processing activities. You will learn about the processes related to mine safety and environmental protection, both during and after the production phase, as well as the legal, business, and management aspects of this industry.
