This scholarship is co-funded by the law firm “Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Pérez Abogados,” with support from the Catholic University, and is intended for students in the selected majors who have outstanding academic performance and fall within the required income bracket.

Note: The method of delivering the vouchers will be determined by the Donor Institution.

Application Requirements

• Be enrolled at the University and have earned at least 18 credits in the School of Law.
• Be ranked in the top 20 percent of the School of Law, based on the University's Standardized Academic Performance Coefficient (CRAest).
• Belong to Levels 1 and 2 (students admitted through 2016) or Grades 1 and 2 (students admitted starting in 2017) of the University’s Differentiated Pension System*.

* If the applicant has a provisional pay grade for the cycle of the call for applications or was reclassified to a higher pay grade than those specified for cycles following the call for applications, the application will be excluded from the process.

Term and Renewal

The duration of the program (number of semesters covered or the number of credits awarded) will be determined by the Scholarship Committee and specified in the Scholarship Acceptance Letter.

At the end of each academic semester, scholarship recipients must go through a scholarship renewal process, for which they must maintain the required academic performance (be ranked in the top 20 percent of the School of Law, according to the University’s Standardized Academic Performance Coefficient (CRAest)), maintain the specified grade levels, have all academic credits and semesters completed, and meet other requirements determined by the Scholarship Committee.

The “Francisco Lira Miró Quesada” scholarship program offers a total of one (1) scholarship.

Calendar

The Scholarship Office issues the call for applications based on the availability of openings and in coordination with representatives of the donor institution.
