Differentiated Pension System
To make education accessible to young people from different socioeconomic backgrounds, PUCP has offered a Tiered Tuition System for more than 40 years. As of 2017, the system has nine payment tiers.
Tuition for students in 9th grade is paid in full (without a PUCP subsidy) by the parents or guardians responsible for the student’s education. On the other hand, grades 1 through 8 receive a certain percentage of funding from the University. Additionally, grades 1, 2, and 3 are exceptional and temporary cases, reserved for students from lower-income families.
