Pastor David Chavez Muñoz
As Director General of GTR-PUCP, he holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). He has worked in both the academic and business sectors in the fields of telecommunications, networks and information systems, and certification and standardization. He is a professor in the Department of Engineering at PUCP and teaches courses in the telecommunications engineering and information sciences programs. His current research interests include the study of networks in emergency situations, radio propagation models, the measurement and monitoring of non-ionizing radiation, multimedia content delivery systems, rural broadband networks, remote control, telepresence, and complex radio systems.
Strategically located on the fifth floor of the Plaza San Miguel Shopping Center, OPEN PUCP promotes the use of collaborative workspaces, laboratories, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and digital manufacturing, among other technologies. The goal is to combine traditional continuing education with a new range of professional training programs that align with emerging technologies and market demands.
