A unit dedicated to theological teaching and research at the PUCP. In terms of education, it offers theology courses as part of the General Studies program. It also promotes a fruitful dialogue between the Christian faith, other academic disciplines, and the challenges of contemporary culture. Its theological work is inspired by the Holy Scriptures, the Second Vatican Council, and the papal and Latin American magisterium.

Veronique Claire Gauthier, widow of Lecaros
She holds a Ph.D. in Catholic Theology from the University of Strasbourg (France), a Ph.D. in Art History from the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in Paris (EHESS), and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University in Paris and Stanford University (U.S.). At PUCP, in addition to being a professor in our department, she is a research associate at Idehpucp, a member of the Interdisciplinary Seminar on Religious Studies, and a faculty member in the doctoral program in Sociology.
