Given the nature of the field, research areas are constantly evolving. Founded in 1997, the program currently focuses on the relationship between communication and politics, art and culture, the environment, digital media, and social memory.

Jorge Acevedo
He holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Secondary Education, a master's degree in Sociology, and a Ph.D. in Political Science and Government from the PUCP, as well as a Ph.D. in Media, Communication, and Culture from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). He is a professor in the Department of Communications at our university. He specializes in political communication and media systems.
