Center for Philosophical Studies

An academic unit affiliated with the Department of Humanities at PUCP that coordinates, promotes, and disseminates philosophical research activities. In this regard, it seeks to foster the study and debate of philosophical issues related to various fields of knowledge, social reality, and culture. It maintains ongoing ties with the national and international philosophical community.

She holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and is a senior professor in the Department of Humanities at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She is a full member of the Latin American Circle of Phenomenology (CLAFEN) and the Peruvian Circle of Phenomenology and Hermeneutics (CIphER). Her areas of study are ethics and intersubjectivity, particularly as informed by the philosophy of Husserl and Scheler, topics on which she has published articles in academic journals. She is the co-editor, along with Rosemary Rizo-Patrón, of the book *Expanded Rationality: New Horizons in Phenomenology and Hermeneutics* (Bogotá / Lima: Aula de Humanidades / PUCP Publishing House, 2020) and a co-translator, along with Mariano Crespo and Luis R. Rabanaque, of the book *Introduction to Ethics: Lectures from the Summer Semesters of 1920 and 1924 (Husserliana XXXVII) (Madrid: Trotta, 2020).
