An academic unit whose primary objective is to conduct research in radio astronomy, astrophysics, radio science, Earth sciences, and space technologies. It also promotes multidisciplinary activity in these areas within the University and the implementation of related engineering projects. Among its major achievements are the design, development, and launch of PUCP-Sat-1 and Pocket-PUCP, considered the first Peruvian satellites.

Marco Antonio Milla
A research professor of Electronic Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), he earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (U.S.). His research focuses primarily on the study of physical phenomena in the ionosphere and the equatorial upper atmosphere using radar and remote sensing techniques.
