This academic unit is responsible for the comprehensive and professional education of students during their first two years (four semesters) of college. There, students acquire the basic and foundational knowledge that prepares them to continue their studies in the various majors offered by the School of Science and Engineering.

She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona (Spain) and a master’s degree in mathematics from the PUCP. She is a faculty member in the Academic Department of Sciences at our university. Her research focuses on mathematics and mathematics education in the initial training of middle and high school teachers.
