Rev. Dr. Fernando Héctor Roca Alcázar, S.J.
Bachelor of Science in Maritime Studies from the Peruvian Naval Academy, and Bachelor of Theology from the Center for Higher Studies of the Society of Jesus in Brazil. Master of Theology with a specialization in Fundamental Theology from the Pontifical Faculty of Theology of the Society of Jesus in France. Diploma in Anthropological Studies from the PUCP. Ph.D. in Social Anthropology with a specialization in Ethnobiology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in France.
Author of several books and research studies on communication, ecology, botany, ethnobotany, the Amazon, and sustainable development in both Peru and France. Full Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Peru and the Geographical Society of Lima. He is currently also a Senior Professor in the Department of Communications at PUCP.
