Academic Directorate of Economics (DAE)

Its primary function is to advise the University Council on the oversight,
coordination, and promotion of the University’s finances. To this end, the DAE conducts economic studies that contribute to better financial management at PUCP and informed decision-making. It also coordinates and manages the preparation of the University’s annual budget and provides advice on economic and financial matters to the units that request it.

Director

He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; a master’s degree in Corporate Finance and Financial Risk from Macquarie University; and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from PUCP. He is an associate professor in the Department of Engineering and a researcher in the field of finance and investments at PUCP. He specializes in the financial analysis of investment projects, as well as the structuring and management of investment portfolios, with over 15 years of professional experience in the capital markets as an investment trader and wealth manager in both local and international markets. Areas of research and interest: finance, project evaluation using real options theory, capital markets, and financial derivatives.
