This unit is responsible for formulating the guidelines that govern the various processes related to faculty development at PUCP. Its functions include proposing policies for the advancement and development of the faculty; overseeing the processes of hiring, promotion, confirmation, and dismissal of our faculty members; and serving as the liaison between the University Council and the departments and schools regarding faculty matters.

She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from the University of Concepción in Chile, a master’s degree in Chemistry, and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She is a senior professor in the Academic Department of Sciences at PUCP, where she teaches undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education courses. She combines her interest in generating information on environmental contaminants in various matrices with her commitment to university social responsibility and professional ethics. Among other positions at PUCP, she has served as chair of the Academic Department of Sciences and director of the Office of Faculty Development.
