Center for Research on Architecture and the City (CIAC)

A unit that conducts studies that contribute to a better understanding of cities and architecture in the country. It also promotes the generation of knowledge and proposals characterized by social commitment and the promotion of comprehensive and sustainable regional development. Other topics researched by its multidisciplinary teams include architectural and urban heritage; the environment and sustainable architecture; and the history of architecture and urban planning.

Director

Architect and Ph.D. in Urban Planning from the University of Liège, Belgium (2009). Senior Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, Department of Architecture. Instructor in urbanism and planning courses. Coordinator of the interdisciplinary research group Innovation and Participation in Urban Development (IPDESUR). Co-editor of the peer-reviewed journal *Investiga Territorios*. Researcher and consultant specializing in urban issues related to participation and planning at the metropolitan and mid-sized city levels, on which she has published extensively, including books and articles in specialized journals.
