Manuel Monge received the BS degree (with honors) in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), Lima, Peru in 2008, and the MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, CA in 2010 and 2017, respectively. He is the founder and CEO of OpenIC, a new organization focusing on Research & Development of Integrated Circuits (ICs) and surrounding electronics using Open-Source Electronic Design Automation tools. Before starting OpenIC in 2024, he was a Lead Senior Circuit Design Engineer at Precision Neuroscience (2021-2023), an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California (USC, 2018-2022), and an ASIC Design Engineer at Neuralink (2017-2018).
