Sumilla

Profesor investigador de Ingeniería Electrónica de la PUCP, obtuvo los grados de maestría y doctorado en Ingeniería Eléctrica y de Computadoras de la Universidad de Illinois en Urbana-Champaign (EE.UU.). Su investigación se orienta al estudio de los fenómenos físicos de la ionósfera y alta atmósfera ecuatorial utilizando técnicas de radar y sensoramiento remoto. Entre el 2012 y 2021 desempeño el cargo de director del Radio Observatorio de Jicamarca (ROJ), prestigioso centro de investigación dedicado al estudio de la ionósfera ecuatorial. Desde el 2023, tiene a cargo la dirección del Instituto de Radioastronomía (INRAS-PUCP). Además, lidera y participa en proyectos de desarrollo de instrumentación científica para el monitoreo de fenómenos geofísicos aplicando técnicas de sensado remoto.
