Project Objectives

  • Developing complementary STIC-related tools for the structural diagnosis of heritage constructions.
  • Using techniques that include 3D surveying based on multiple sources (GPS, topography, photogrammetry and lasergrammetry); versatile non-destructive testing (IR thermography, sound and ultrasound tomography, impact-echo, boroscopy, ambient and seismic vibration monitoring, colorimetry); the semi-automatic segmentation of conservation-related features based on image and 3D model processing; and the organization of data on a 3D information system in order to perform queries and statistical analysis.
  • The goal of the project is to provide a quantitative synthesis of the 3D survey and non-destructive testing (NDT) able to perform structural diagnosis in seismic prone regions.
