The Latin American Congress of Probability and Mathematical Statistics (CLAPEM), organized by the Bernoulli Society (Latin American Chapter) is the main event for probability and mathematical statistics in the region. It occurs every two/three years and attracts researchers and students from the most important latinoamerican centers. It was already organized in Venezuela, Uruguay, México, Brasil, Chile, Argentina and Cuba.

The tenth edition of  CLAPEM will be realized in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Lima, from February 25 to March 3, 2007 as a contribution to the development of the area in this country.
